The “She Knew” Project celebrated Rebecca Anderson today!
Rebecca’s personal story about the day
As a single woman, who is by nature a very practical person and very low maintenance, it is hard for me to use any extra money I might have on myself. There is always something that needs to be fixed on the house or car, presents to buy for others, or just other stuff that seems to be more important. So I was very honored when Lisa asked me to participate in the “She Knew Project”. It was lovely to be with friends and to be pampered for the day.
The day started out with Lisa and I having breakfast at Panera and then heading over to Hair Envy where the wonderful Sara cut and colored my dull limp hair and made it shiny and full. Most stylist will just style your hair and when they’re done you don’t have a clue how to replicate the look, that was not the case with Sara. I loved the way she explained why and how she was styling my hair the way she was to give it the most volume. And getting to pet Sara’s dog Lewis and the free product she gave me were just added bonuses!
After my hair was done the lovely Gentry applied my makeup explaining what each product was and why and how she would be applying it to get the fullest advantage. Gentry did an wonderful job – she is such a beautiful person inside and out! It is amazing how getting your hair and makeup done can make you feel beautiful! The next stop was the Loft at Woodland Hills Mall. Lisa, Shannon and Gentry helped me pick out clothes to try on and I love that they were honest and encouraging in their comments. I walked away with a great new outfit that I will be able to wear together and mix and match with other items. We then went to DSW for new shoes and Shannon picked out the most comfortable and stylist shoes – love them!
Once the outfit was complete with shoes we went to El Tequila for a wonderful lunch and then to the church for “After” pictures. I had a great day and I am truly blessed to have been a part of the “She Knew Project”. Thank you to all the wonderful ladies, Lisa, Shannon, Gentry and Sara, that helped make me feel loved, appreciated and beautiful! You are all blessings from God!
